battleship is the new game from rs games.

note: you must download the new client to use the software (if you've not updated, the old version won't work anymore)

i played this game last night, and i thought it was awsome

for more information about the new client and battleship, go to www.rsgames.org. yep, the site can be accessed like that now- guessing it makes it easier on us

enjoy

It's pretty cool. It's your standard battleship. I always find it a lot more fun to play with a real person than with bots, though.

yeah i agree, bots bore me.

and it's my first time ever hearing of battleship... love it:)

we must play sometime

I like this one, although I haven't played with another real person yet. I've played some others, like Jim Kitchen's version and I think there was one for Dos years ago, but those were usually you against the computer. I'm glad there's the option to let the computer randomly place your ships. Now, the Playroom has Battleship, and although I like the sounds better, you have to manually place your ships and I'd rather not do that. Yeah, instant gratification I guess.

I think the RS Games version has both a manual and an automatic ship placement option. I've only played once, against the bot, and won. I haven't yet noticed any game bugs. Now that RS Games client can make grids, can Chess be coming soon?

I've never played chess, but would love to try it out some time. You never know, though. they always seem to be open for new ideas. As for battleship, I really do appreciate that there's an option for automatic or manual placement.

I fear that, if I were to choose manual placement, I'd soon become too predictable.

How many of these types of games do we need? You watch, All In Play will come out with one next.

O yeah. You're right, but different people have different preferences.

You're right, I would just like to see an original idea, especially for an online game. That's why I've been playing Entombed a lot lately.

I was thinking the same thing. I wish people would stop being copy-cats in regards to creating the same games.

again, i prefer the sounds on RS games for that game. one thing I'd love RS games to consider is that we may see the grid while the other person is playing so we can already move to the next spot. In the playroom, that is a bit better. But yep, battleship is awesome.
